Tiny Tall Tales

It was an instant go ahead from Mr. Abhishek Karnani, Director Free Press Journal.

The proposal was to cover agencies that are big in their own right but not among the biggest. It meant selecting and visitng agencies that were not part of the “top 20” when ranked by billings. We firmly believe that the story of advertising can not be studied by billings alone and the big agencies may be on the top of the billing charts but they don’t tell us the complete story. A fuller story of the business, ideas and minds can come only when we study those who work away from the limelight. We wanted to capture that depth and diversity. And so was born the column “Small Size Big Ideas”. Soon we realized that we are documenting History of Indian Advertising and of many, business within it. “Tiny Tall Tales” is the compilation of these columns for posterity.
